We act for a number of cruise operators and their insurers in relation to passenger personal injury claims and related claims and also for owners and insurers in defending crew injuries. We act on behalf of clients in all courts in Ireland and pride ourselves on providing a cost effective, hands-on service aimed, where appropriate, at an early resolution.

for insurers of fishing vessel in relation to ongoing litigation following sinking of coast of Wexford and
fatality proceedings issued following death of two crew members.

for insurers of fishing vessel in relation to two further separate and ongoing fatal injury proceedings within the fishing industry.
- Acting for travel agent and cruiseline in relation to successfully defending jury trial proceedings for defamation, false imprisonment and assault and battery following detention of passenger on board for medical assessment following threats of self-harm
- Acting for P&I Club in relation to a catastrophic injury to a cadet in the hold of the vessel resulting in permanent paraplegia to the injured crew member.
- Successfully defending personal injury proceedings in the High Court and Court of Appeal on behalf of the insurers of a "white-knuckle" ride provided as an excursion on a Caribbean cruise.
- Acting for owners and P&I insurers following ferry incident where a number of passengers fell into water from gangway in West of Ireland - dealing with subsequent personal injuries including PTSD claims.
- Acting for insurer in relation to injuries sustained to three individuals employed to assist in operations for the loading of a ferry on to a barge for shipment and who were injured during the loading operations.
- Acting for owners of a vessel following mental disorder of a crew member and criminal assault of member of the public to include advise on liability of crew management agency, crew employment contract and liability of Owners and P&I club for medical treatment, repatriation of crew member and compensation to victim.
- Acting for insurers to represent the owners of a fishing vessel in the tragic death of two crew members in Killybegs harbour due to toxic fumes. We assisted the owners with the HSA and Gardaí interviews together with instructing various experts for accident investigation purposes and to establish cause to avoid further casualties in the future of the fishing industry.
- Acting for members in relation to death of a port captain during cargo operations – advising P&I Club and member on interpretation of charterparty in relation to liability for supercargo.
- Acting for private terminal in relation to incident involving injury to stevedore on vessel from gangway.
